Course Description

This e-learning course is designed for security managers in government institutions in South Africa who are responsible for protecting their institution’s sensitive information and assets from intelligence-related threats. The course provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of the nature of intelligence-related threats, how they are carried out, and how to prevent them.
 
The course covers topics such as intelligence collection techniques, counterintelligence measures, insider threats, and espionage. Participants will learn how to identify the signs of intelligence-related threats, develop effective countermeasures, and implement security measures that align with their institution’s objectives.
 
Throughout the course, learners will engage with practical examples and real-world scenarios to develop practical skills in managing intelligence-related threats. Participants will learn how to apply their newly acquired knowledge to identify vulnerabilities in their institutions and develop customized intelligence-related threat solutions that can mitigate potential risks.
 
While the main target group for the course is security managers in the public sector, the skills and knowledge acquired during the course can also be used by security managers in the private sector. The course provides participants with a valuable toolkit for enhancing their knowledge of intelligence-related threats and how to prevent them in any institution.

Duration: The course is self-paced and can be completed within one week.
 
Prerequisites: Participants are expected to have basic knowledge of security management concepts and must have completed the Vision DCI “Introduction to Protective Security (Advanced)” course..
 
Assessment: Participants will be assessed through quizzes and assignments.
 
Certification: Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded a certificate of completion by Vision DCI.
 
Enrollment: Enrollment is open to security managers in government institutions in South Africa and private security managers who wish to enhance their knowledge of intelligence-related threats and how to prevent them.
